She and Me Overnight-Billings

Come have a blast with She and Me, the over night that features swimming, hula hooping, and indoor fun at its best! Girls are strongly encouraged to bring their mom, aunt, grandma, big sister, or favorite female mentor over 18yrs. old to join in this over night adventure.
Camping may not be an option for winter but how about an indoor sleep over? Bring your sleeping bag, pillow, swim suit, towel, water bottle and pj's and let's have an overnight with the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming and your favorite female companion. No campfires but we will have plenty of activities to keep us warm. Grab your floaties and splish-splash at the Rocky Mountain College Pool as it will be open at designated times for swimming. Girls show your She and Me companion your creative side and construct a hula hoop to take home. Genoa from Custom Hula Hoops will have a few pre-made hoops to look at for inspiration.
Wind down with a snack and check out some of Rocky's campus clubs as they will be there with some hands on activities. The gym floor will be your bed for the night so find the perfect spot for you and your She and Me companion. Rise and shine to a cheerful breakfast the next morning. This is a great way to spend quality time with your 'She Companion', make new friends, and spend the evening participating in fun activities. Remember to eat dinner before you come as only a snack will be provided in the evening, but you will receive breakfast the next morning before you are on your way home.

Ed-Zoo-Cate Program

Ed-Zoo-Cate-Billings

Budding zoologists can get an insider's look at Zoo Montana's animals and exhibits by participating in our interactive Ed-Zoo-Cate program. They'll meet like-minded girls and experts who'll offer interesting facts about animal care, habitats, and receive a visit from some of the animal inhabitants!
The goal of the program is to connect Girl Scouts with nature by enhancing their understanding and appreciation for the wonderful diversity of nature and the animals that thrive there.
It's Your Story-Tell It! Journey book '5 Flowers, 4 Stories, 3 Cheers for Animals' encourages networking with your community and this is a great animal connection to make! Brownies this is also an opportunity to identify a community place where you can Take Action and work towards the Take Action Key in the Brownie Quest Journey.
After the Ed-Zoo-Cate program your registration fee also allows you to tour the 70 acre zoological park which has a unique and interesting collection of approximately 50% exotic and 50% native species.
Since this is a winter program, space is limited for girls and supervising adults. Supervising adults must register at the GSMW office or online to receive the same discounted entrance fee as the girls. Unregistered adults will not be admitted to the program.
Remember space is limited so register early for this zoo adventure.

Mad Hatter Program

Mad Hatter
Girls you won't have to fall down the rabbit hole to have an Alice in Wonderland like tea party. Join the Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming and volunteers from the High Plains Women's Museum as we learn proper tea etiquette and enjoy a tasty treat. Once the tea cups are cleared the creativity begins!
Hats will be provided and Lorraine, The Hat Lady of Billings, will give you history and share stories about the hats she has in her extensive collection, which is a popular feature at the museum.
Daisies, this is a great opportunity to work on the Zinnie, Considerate and Caring Petal which is featured in the Daisy Girl's Guide and the Art of Sharing insert.

Welcome Everyone!

Hey Girl Scouts and Family! I'm making this blog in hopes to make this easier for everyone to find what's going on with our troop and maybe even save some paper. A quick look around as I'm getting it set up, meeting dates are on a tab up top along with up coming council programs including ice skating.
