Splash in to Girl Scout Week

Splash in to Girl Scout Week-Billings (K-12)

Celebrate the start of Girl Scout Week with a pool party! Swim, make Swaps, and have pizza to kick off the 2013 Girl Scout Birthday Week extravaganza. Make Girl Scout Week 2013 an event to remember! Join us for fun night to celebrate this tribute to Girl Scouting. Fuel up with pizza, let your creativity lose with Swap making, then swim and splash for some extra fun.

Girl Scout week officially starts on Sunday, March 10 and the Girl Scout birthday is March 12. This fun event for girls of all ages will be a great way to share Girl Scout sisterhood. Not sure what Swaps are? Swaps stands for Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere. Swaps are a Girl Scout tradition. If you want more information about Swaps, check out girlscouts.org.

Registered adults will have access to the pool to swim and pizza. Participants are also welcome to bring 'floaties' and noodles to the pool.

Space is limited so register today to be apart of the celebration!

This event is open to girls in grades K-12 and supervising adults.

So find a Girl Scout near you and get your order in! Our troop 2527 is sending our boxes of donated cookies donated by you, to troops over seas. We sent them cookies last year and the response was awesome!

Ed-zoo-cate at Zoo Montana

Aaliyah, Maya, Lily and Sage all went to the Ed-zoo-cate at Zoo Montana today where they got to see animals up close. From hissing cockroaches, a snake, a lizard, and a owl they got to learn about the animals and even pet the lizard! Below are pictures from the program and also pictures from when we walked around the zoo afterward.

I know all the girls had a blast! I'm hoping the council does a program like this again next year!

Team Girl Scouts Bike Clinic May 18th

Team Girl Scouts Bike Clinic-Billings (Grades K-3)

Round up your bicycles and come to the Team Girl Scouts Bike Clinic. Certified biking instructors will give tips to enhance riding skills, biking safety, equipment trouble shooting, lead a short bike ride around the park, and then hand out biking goodie bags to girl participants. It doesn't matter if you have a BMX, 10-speed, or mountain bike - all are welcome!

Bicycle riding is one way to stay healthy and a great recreational event. A survey from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states that 71% of Americans say they would like to bicycle more than they do now. This program is a great way to jump start your biking adventure.

Bicycles and helmet are not provided so please bring your own equipment. Space is limited to make sure the girls receive personalized time with instructors Jennifer and Angie. Take advantage of this great opportunity to be ready for some spring and summer fun.
